2011 SACNAS conference planning. UC Berkeley is an elite sponsor of the 2011 conference in San Jose, CA (October 27-30) so we are in the midst of a huge planning effort. Check out our conference website to see what we are up to at the conference- we are hosting a reception and a virtual field trip and we will also be staffing UC Berkeley booths in the exhibit hall. If you would like to join us at the conference, we have limited registration slots available, so please contact us ASAP.
Chapter receives Role Model Chapter Award for "Outstanding Establishment of Institutional Support". We are 1 of 8 chapters nationwide to receive an award based on the national SACNAS board review of our annual report. This is our third consecutive year receiving an award from the national SACNAS organization!
A successful iPad 2 fund-raiser. Our chapter strove to raise funds to subsidize the cost of our members attending the 2011 SACNAS National conference. Chapter board members sold raffle tickets for an iPad 2, raising more than $800.
